This past weekend, we celebrated opening our doors one year ago with one goal: bring people together over great wine. We started this journey with just five winemakers who believed in our vision before we even had a tasting room. We opened the tasting room with 15 winemakers, and today we work directly with 27. We work directly with these winemakers as partners, cutting out third-party distributors and brokers to bring California Wine Country straight to Texas. At Swallow Wines, we hand-sell every bottle we offer. This means we share its story, how it was made, the climate of the harvest year, and the winemaker behind it. Every bottle has a story, and we love to share it. Over the past year, we have hosted more than 10 Meet the Winemaker events, grown to 150 wine club members, and built a space where wine lovers can explore and enjoy. We now offer 160 wine labels and 40 different grape varietals by the glass, bottle, and tastings. We set an ambitious revenue goal for our first year and we hit it. But this is just the beginning. This year, we are focused on expanding beyond our tasting room. We are bringing our wines to local small businesses in the Austin area while continuing to do what we do best, sharing the stories behind every bottle, hosting events, offering at-home tastings, and building deeper connections with our club members. To everyone who has walked through our doors, bought a bottle, or supported us, thank you. Come explore the artistry of Don Snell at Swallow Wines tasting room. Snell, a distinguished artist, earned his BFA from the University of Texas and pursued postgraduate studies at Tulane University. Throughout his extensive career spanning over fifty-five years, he received numerous awards and recognitions from prestigious institutions such as the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston and the Dallas Museum of Fine Arts. Despite his passing in 2014, Snell's legacy lives on through his timeless masterpieces showcased in galleries across the United States.
